Evoke Behavioral Health provides year-round specialized educational and therapeutic services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and co-occurring diagnoses. In 2025, we opened the doors to our newly renovated, state-of-the-art facility in Arvada, CO, complete with two outdoor playgrounds, a full gym, and an advanced sensory room—all designed to enhance client care and staff experience. We have expanded our services to include children from Pre-K through 12th grade (previously ages 8-18) and are currently hiring a Special Education Teacher to support our Special Education Team in our new growth. This is a center-based position and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
Our interdisciplinary team includes BCBAs, LCSWs, Special Education Teachers, RBTs, Educational Assistants, Mental Health Assistants, and a large number of graduate students working across our departments. In addition to our comprehensive clinical team, we have on-site administrative, human resources, and maintenance support to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team and assist in the development of our expanding educational program. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the Evoke Behavioral Health family as we get comfy in our new larger space and broaden our offerings. Teachers in this role will carry a caseload of up to 12 students, report to the Special Education Director, receive support from co-teachers and Educational Assistants, play a pivotal part in creating individualized education plans (IEPs), develop tailored instructional materials, and provide ongoing support to students with varying disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, focusing on their unique needs.
- Provide direct instruction to students in a variety of educational settings, including one-on-one, small groups, and classroom settings.
- Collaborate with parents, therapists, and other educators to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed to ensure optimal educational outcomes.
- Participate in the school's multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate student services and outcomes.
- Support the growth and development of our program, working with leadership to expand services from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade.
- Maintain a positive and safe learning environment for students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Current Special Education teaching certification (or ability to obtain certification in Colorado).
- Experience working with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with families, staff, and other professionals.
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks
- Current TB test and occupational physical (provided by The Company)
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Physically able to implement Safety Care protocols, including running, kneeling, lifting up to 40 lbs, pivoting, and transitioning from kneeling/seated to standing repeatedly (training provided by The Company)
